Maintenance Fitter, Ashburton

Are you an experienced Maintenance Fitter looking for your next opportunity? We have a position available at our Canterbury plant on Seafield Road, Ashburton. This is a permanent full-time position that will work on a rotating roster, allowing you an improved lifestyle opportunity with your family. The hourly rate will range from $38.00 - $40.00 per hour.The purpose of this role is to assist the wider Engineering team in keeping the production process running by installing and maintaining all mechanical equipment on site to a standard that complies with all relevant regulations. We are in a fast-paced environment, meaning this position will be varied and busy, requiring the successful candidate to demonstrate organisational abilities and enthusiasm for a processing environment.Skills and experience we are looking for: A mechanical or maintenance/diagnostics trade qualification or be in the process of gaining a qualification Skilled&working knowledge of maintaining industrial plant/equipment is preferable but not essential The ability to think logically and remain calm under pressure A working knowledge of manufacturing operations in the food or related industry Knowledge and experience of reliability-based maintenance Basic computer skillsA good understanding of the Health&Safety requirements for a processing environment We deliver taste, nutrition, and wellbeing to the world with products made from New Zealand's finest beef and lamb.
