You will be part of a supportive, inclusive culture where your voice is valued, and colleagues support you.Listen to tamariki and rangatahi, supporting them or their whānau to make positive changes Work with diverse cultural groups and backgrounds Conduct comprehensive assessments of tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau Facilitate hui sessions to support whānau capacity building Plan and deliver interventions to keep tamariki and rangatahi within their whānauCollaborate with community partners, NGOs, and government agencies Advocate for tamariki and rangatahi to ensure they receive necessary support and resources Ideal candidates are experienced Social Workers familiar with NZ's child protection sector, preferably with NGO experience or previous work within Oranga Tamariki.Full registration with NZ's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) and current practicing certificate Recognized social work qualification Valid driver's license Recent relevant experience with Oranga Tamariki or similar roles Empathy, patience, and ability to see beyond current struggles Experience in child protection, ideally within NZAbility to analyze and develop social and financial plans Sound judgment and organizational skills Risk management and decision-making abilities What's in it for you | Nōu te rourou We offer a vibrant, supportive team, flexible work options, and a genuine commitment to wellbeing.
