CRL Station Control Tester - Fixed Term, Auckland

Auckland One Rail is seeking a dedicated and proactive Station Controller on a fixed-term basis until 31st of December 2025. In this critical position, you will oversee station operations, ensuring the safety and effective functioning of stations across Auckland's commuter network for both passengers and staff. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day station activities, coordinating with various departments, and responding to incidents effectively.This position demands strong communication skills and requires a customer-focused approach to enhance the passenger experience. You will also collaborate closely with operations staff, safety teams, and maintenance crew to maintain the highest standards of service delivery on Auckland's commuter network.The role is based in Ellerslie within Auckland and requires shift work across a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays. Key Responsibilities: Oversee station operations to ensure safety and effective functioning. Manage day-to-day station activities and coordinate with various departments.Respond to incidents effectively, maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure. Collaborate with operations staff, safety teams, and maintenance crew. Minimum Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role within a rail or transport environment is preferred. Strong understanding of safety regulations and operational procedures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proven ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure during incidents or emergencies. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.Customer service-focused mindset, with a commitment to enhancing the customer experience.
