Clinical Nurse Specialist - Health of Older Persons Wairarapa - Community Nursing Permanent Part Time NZNO Meca Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders. About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse or an existing Clinical Nurse Specialist who can support and lead nursing staff in the speciality area of Health of Older Persons. This role is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team and will work across the provider arm of Wairarapa Hospital district also alongside the PHO, NGO's and the aged and residential care settings.You will participate in coordinating and providing specialty assessment across the continuum of care prevention, education and intervention, using a planned pathway for a defined patient population. To work within the clinical speciality, acting as a clinical expert, role model, change agent, resource person and leader in the pursuit of clinical nursing excellence and improved health outcomes for the defined patient population within the Health of Older Persons' Services.This is a permanent part time position, working 64 hours per fortnight, (0.8 FTE) working across Monday-Friday, days of work to be agreed with successful canidate. About you The Clinical Nurse Specialist Health of Older Persons works within the clinical speciality, acting as a practitioner, role model, change agent, resource person and leader in the pursuit of clinical nursing excellence and improved health outcomes for older adults with frailty across the Wairarapa District.Registered Nurse with current Annual Practicing Certificate. Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in speciality nursing practice. Demonstrated clinical expertise in working with older people. Current driver's license.
