As part of our growth, we are excited to strengthen our Auckland based team with a Business Development Manager .As a high energy Business Development Manager , you will enhance the sales and business development functions of our expanding technology services business. This instrumental role will define and execute our sales&business development strategies and oversee our market expansion. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy&Growth Officer, you will collaborate closely with our existing leadership team. Your role will start as an instigator of change, driving our sales and business development capability, with the likelihood that this team will grow as the business grows. You will be preparing and presenting client pitches and proposals to sell our full suite of technical products and services, so a broad range of technical knowledge and experience is essential. You will also need to be comfortable interfacing with our internal technology teams of project managers, product managers, and engineers.While primarily located in our Grafton based Auckland office, this is a full-time salaried role that requires significant relationship building and effective communication skills along with a willingness to be out of the office. You will need to be a high energy person who is outgoing and able to demonstrate strong empathy and EQ.This is a dynamic opportunity to extend your existing sales and business development management experience in a high responsibility and high ownership environment. Responsibilities: Business Development: Define sales and business development tactics, build relationships, generate leads and drive engagement with our prospective clients.Sales : Engage in a mixture of networking, social media, list building and cold reach outs to develop new prospects and opportunities for Gorilla. Leadership&Strategy: Define and executive the sales and business development strategies; oversee revenue growth, profitability and market expansion. Reporting&Analytics: Management of the CRM tool (Hubspot), measurement of sales performance and lead engagement. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT related technical sales or account management role, preferably with experience in New Zealand. A relevant tertiary or university degree– marketing, sales, IT, Engineering etc.Demonstratable experience and familiarity with IT, hardware software and Technology broadly. Strong leadership and strategic relationship management skills. Proven track record of securing medium to large contracts. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Excellent relationship-building and negotiation abilities.Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
