We're looking for a passionate Technology Engineer - Electrical to join our Radio Engineering team. If you're an experienced electrical engineer with a love for music and technology, this is a fantastic chance to bring your skills to the media industry and ensure our technology systems operate at peak performance.The Role: The Technology Electrical Engineer will be responsible for providing technology services in a customer-focused manner, maintaining broadcast electrical systems, and ensuring all technology equipment functions at its optimum capacity. This role involves front-line support, managing broadcast power systems, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.Maintain ownership of broadcast power systems across all MediaWorks radio markets. Provide relevant electrical paperwork and certificates. Keep abreast of new technologies and techniques to deliver efficiencies. Provide support for digital and audio infrastructure. Diagnose, manage, and escalate work from end users.Engage external suppliers for essential equipment. Assist with live events and outside broadcasts. Support and train end users in various applications and hardware. Travel to MediaWorks offices across the country for project and maintenance work. Participate in the early/late roster and 24/7 on-call duties.Ensure all system documentation is up-to-date. About You: Strong relationship builder with a collaborative attitude. Committed to creating an inclusive and respectful work environment.Qualifications, Experience&Competencies: Essential: Qualified Electrician, Registered to provide electrical paperwork. Preferred: Experience operating in a broadcast environment and within relevant electrical requirements. Good understanding of audio signal flow and broadcast infrastructure. Understanding of network security processes.Ability to manage and deliver projects on time and within budget. Understanding of non-linear audio editing applications and audio over IP (AoIP) technologies. Strong verbal, written, and diagramming skills.
