The Systems Applications team develops, configures and supports the costing, manufacturing, EDI system, labour management and ERP software systems used in the windows and doors businesses in NZ and overseas markets.The role will actively develop and grow our software systems to support our market growth vision through a customer driven strategy. This will be achieved by delivering outstanding customer service, through support activities as well as innovation through systems that deliver tangible benefits to the customers' business and to Altus. The role will also be responsible for the systems development, testing, scoping customer requirements and user documentation.About You: The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of software development experience ideally within Aluminium window joinery. You will be thorough, highly analytical and have a head for technical detail. You will have strong communication skills and thrive on working alone and as part of a team in a highly structured and organized work environment where the emphasis is on quality.To be considered for this role you will have: A software programming degree or other comparable qualification Strong understanding of software development life cycle with a great emphasis on quality Experience in consulting customers for the user requirements and mapping it to the development processExperience in VB.Net programming Experience in writing SQL queries, macro languages and/or visual basic application language including database report writing skills Excellent people, oral and written communication skills Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in windows operating systems including basic networking skillsApplicants must have the right to work and live in New Zealand.
