POSTPARTUM - CWN 9/10 Nursing Assistant Unit Coordinator, Auckland

Summary Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. This position requires Patient Care. Essential Functions Perform patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including performing and documenting point of care, vital signs, EKGs, bathing, sanitary needs, transferring, assisting with ambulation, feeding, etc. Assist RNs and physicians with exams and treatments as required.Ensure patient rooms are stocked, equipped, and cleaned appropriately based on needs and patient volume. Perform specimen collection and document all relevant information. Retrieve, set up, clean, and report malfunctioning equipment as per organizational policy. Document patient information such as height, weight, fluid intake, output, and blood glucose results.Assist patients with food tray setup and eating if necessary. Communicate effectively and timely with nursing staff regarding patient care and condition. Receive and direct medical staff, personnel, patients, and visitors. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.Licenses and Credentials Nursing Assistant - Massachusetts Board of Nursing preferred. Experience Healthcare experience 1-2 years required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to multitask and handle stress and crisis situations effectively. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Typing skills and computer experience required.Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.
