Job Title: Interpreter for Non-English Speaking Patients Shift: 36-hour rotation Responsibilities: Assess the needs of non-English speaking patients and assist by interpreting consent forms, diagnoses, discharge plans, and other patient-related information. Resolve issues independently that arise in daily responsibilities, answer questions about protocols, and make appropriate referrals without direct supervision.Serve as a resource to both patients and providers to contribute to successful outcomes. Comply with all relevant BWH policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a human relations field (e.g., Sociology, Psychology) is highly preferable. At least 2 years of college-level education and 2 years of hospital or healthcare-related experience involving direct patient contact.Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
