About the Role We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our Adult Community and Long-Term Conditions Directorate. This is a permanent full-time role - 40 hours/week. The role is based at Kahui Marino, Pt Chevalier Clinical Centre. The primary purpose of the role is to provide a client-centred, safe, effective, and efficient outcome-focused specialised wheelchair and seating service. This is achieved by maintaining an agreed clinical caseload, providing assessment, education, configuration, and review of wheelchair and seating solutions. The majority of your working time is client-related.About the Team/Service/Location The Mobility Solutions team is a client-focused, motivated, and creative group of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, technicians, and therapy assistants who assist people of all ages and abilities to achieve their mobility and positioning goals. The role is based at Kahui Marino, Pt Chevalier Clinical Centre.About you As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following skills and attributes: New Zealand registration as an Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate 2+ years of post-graduate clinical work experience as an OT / PT Full, clean New Zealand Driver’s LicenseExcellent connector of people and ideas Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting Effective time management, prioritisation, and organisation skills Drive, energy, and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven experience working in wheelchair and seating (advantageous) Credentialed or underway with the credentialing process for WMPML1 or WMPML2 (advantageous) Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
