Valuations Manager May 1, 2025 by John O'Donnell The Opportunity We are representing an established international CA firm looking to grow their Corporate Finance advisory presence in Auckland at Senior Consultant/Manager level. This position will be working within a consulting firm with a high focus on Valuations - specifically business valuation, intangible valuations, and impairment reviews.Key Duties Prepare and oversee valuation reports for business, intangible assets, options, rights, debt securities, and derivatives. Review, design, and build financial models - discounted cash flows, 3-way forecast models, etc. Prepare financial analysis to support written reports. Develop business strategies and perform tangible/business valuations.Work with a broad mix of clients from various sectors and industries, including SMEs, private owners, and private equity firms. Prepare valuation reports for debt securities and derivatives. Assist partners with new proposals and business opportunities. Prepare and manage Independent Expert Opinions for litigation and dispute resolution.Involve in M&A engagements across sell-side and buy-side mandates. The Ideal Profile Experience from one of the Big 4 or Mid Tier firms within services such as Valuations, Business Recoveries, Deals Advisory, Due Diligence/Transaction Services. Core experience in business valuations within a consulting firm.3-5 years post-qualification with relevant certifications (CA/CPA/CFA) and recent advisory experience in a public practice setting. Excellent client and stakeholder management skills, gained from handling diverse portfolios. Strong financial modelling and report writing skills.
