About the Roles: MBIE is responsible for the stewardship of 17 regulatory systems and plays an important role in supporting the national security system, the broader public sector, and New Zealand’s intelligence community.We have multiple leadership opportunities for individuals to lead our Intelligence teams in delivering the MBIE Intelligence and Country Research (MICR) function. This people leader position will work with our Intelligence Practice and Professional Development team to build capability within their team, collaborate with colleagues, customers, and across the Intelligence Community, and guide their team to achieve MBIE and Government-wide objectives.About MBIE Intelligence and Country Research The purpose of MBIE Intelligence and Country Research (MICR) is to enable decision-maker advantage at strategic, operational, and tactical levels for MBIE, our Ministers, and partners. Our teams provide intelligence services and products designed to maximize opportunities and reduce harm, uphold governmental responsibilities, and support decision-makers. MICR also coordinates between MBIE and other government and international agencies.Roles to be filled Manager Regulatory Intelligence– Immigration NZ (INZ) Manager Mass Arrivals Manager Intelligence Operations Manager Registry Manager Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Skills and Experience Required Leadership experience in coaching and uplifting teams, with a proven track record in Intelligence and/or Research.Strong project leadership and expertise in Intelligence, Research, and Open-Source Intelligence. Relevant tertiary qualification or extensive experience. Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively. Excellent change management and communication skills. Understanding of government operations and security standards.Security and police checks required. Citizenship or residency requirements as specified.
