We’re a fast-moving, mission-driven team that values creativity, growth, and shared purpose as we work towards bringing this life-changing technology to patients.Apply on Seek: About the Role As an Intermediate/Senior Product Development Engineer, you will play an important role in designing and developing high-precision medical devices for clinical applications. You’ll work alongside surgeons, engineers, and scientists, and quality teams to bring innovative solutions from concept to market.Your Responsibilities Contribute to the design and development of medical devices for clinical applications. Help plan, execute, interpret, and report on animal studies. Support the technical aspects of product development, verification and validation activities, and ensure alignment with Avasa’s objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate medical needs into technical specifications and viable product designs. Work closely with surgeons and medical professionals to integrate real-world feedback into iterative product development. Design, prototype, and rigorously test medical devices to meet performance and safety standards.Ensure compliance with medical device regulatory and quality standards. Engage with suppliers and manufacturing partners to drive scalable and efficient production. Contribute to research initiatives, patent applications, and regulatory submissions. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to establish quality protocols and validation procedures.Maintain comprehensive documentations for all design and development processes. Contribute to the development of patent applications. Contribute to writing of regulatory submissions. What We’re Looking For 3-5+ years of experience in medical devices or a related industry (mechanical product development).Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Science, or a related discipline. Proficiency in CAD and engineering tools for design and analysis. Experience with scientific writing. Experience in prototyping, testing, and design for manufacturing. Familiarity with animal studies and clinical trials. Solid understanding of medical device regulations and compliance standards.Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative mindset. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. A proactive, detail-oriented, and independent approach to work. Willingness to up-skill and continuously learn.
