We’re looking for someone with a solidUX foundation who’s excited to step up, take ownership of meaningful design work, and grow within a fast-moving product team. You’ll work on high-visibility projects and see your designs go live — with the support of experienced collaborators across product, tech, content, and research.How You’ll Do It As a Junior UX Designer, you’ll work across the full UX lifecycle — from discovery to delivery — helping shape the design of web and app experiences used by thousands of Kiwis. UX&UI Design Design user journeys and interfaces across OneRoof’s consumer and customer platforms Collaborate with product managers, developers, and content designers to deliver new features and refine existing ones Turn insights into wireframes, prototypes, and polished high-fidelity designs in FigmaChampion responsive, accessible design that works across devices Contribute to our evolving design system and pattern libraries Research&Insight Participate in and run user research and testing to validate design ideas Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions Clearly communicate design rationale and user insights to cross-functional stakeholders Stay curious— always advocating for the user at every step of the journeyAbout You You’re more than a designer, you’re a problem-solver, researcher, and storyteller. You bring: 2+ years’ experience in UX/UI design, ideally in digital products or platforms Proficiency with Figma (and bonus points for knowledge of design systems) Confidence in wireframing, prototyping, and delivering elegant high-fidelity designsA natural curiosity for understanding user behaviour and needs A portfolio that showcases your range in interaction and interface design Strong communication skills— you know how to bring stakeholders along for the ride An understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and real estate industry nuances is a plusExperience working in agile, fast-paced environments A collaborative spirit and a drive to continually raise the UX bar What’s On Offer NZME is one of New Zealand’s largest media companies, made up of over 50 leading media brands including: The New Zealand Herald, Newstalk ZB, ZM, The Hits, iHeartRadio and OneRoof.
