The studio's passionate team of Directors, Animators, Visual Effects specialists, and Artists collaborate to deliver projects worldwide.Role Description Flux Animation Studio is seeking a Senior Art Director for a 6-month fixed-term contract to join and lead our creative team in bringing a feature film to life. This role will focus on character and environment design, ensuring that every visual element is captivating, cohesive, and aligned with the director's vision.As the Senior Art Director, you'll be responsible for overseeing the entire creative process—from initial concepts to final renders—guiding and mentoring a team of talented artists along the way. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the world of the film, collaborating closely with VFX, animation, and production design teams to create a seamless and visually stunning experience.This role is based full-time in our Auckland studio. Solid understanding of film production, including set design, lighting, texture, and visual effects.Experience in creating high-quality concept art, storyboards, and mood boards that align with our director's vision. Knowledge of the latest trends in digital cinematography, visual effects, and digital environments. Experience working with in-game cinematics or video game production is highly desirable.Strong ability to collaborate with directors, visual effects teams, and production designers to bring creative concepts to life. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a creative team through complex projects. High attention to detail with a passion for crafting beautiful work.
