We really are a company that wants to make a positive difference.The Watercare team have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the team as a Security Operations Lead. The Security Operations Lead role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organisation's security strategies and programs to safeguard personnel, assets and information. In this role you will also be responsible for:Developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures. Defining roles, responsibilities, and procedures with internal stakeholders. Reporting security compliance with regulations and standards. Overseeing operations such as risk management, business process improvement, and activities to enhance and ensure the organisation's future security.Supervising and providing guidance to two security specialists. Developing, implementing, and overseeing security procedures, ensuring timely identification, investigation, and resolution of security threats. Serving as the primary security liaison for the projects team, providing guidance on security requirements, risk assessments, and compliance to ensure security considerations are integrated into all project phases.Managing budgets and financials related to the security department, ensuring cost-effective strategies and practices. Conducting regular security audits and assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and external regulations. Collaborating with external law enforcement and security agencies to address significant security incidents or threats.Leading and mentoring the security team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Staying updated on the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices, and applying this knowledge to improve Watercare's security posture. You will be a confident, enthusiastic problem-solver with a 'can-do' attitude that loves a challenge and works well under pressure. In addition to previous experience in a similar security operations role, you will also demonstrate:Proven experience in security management, physical security systems, incident investigation and reporting. Be a physical security professional and certified protection professional, Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and organisational boundaries.Previous experience leading a team, including experience with performance management and staff development. Confidence working with technology and strong MS Office skills Extensive experience in policy and procedure development along with financial management/budgeting.
