Teams meet 2-4 times a year in interesting locations worldwide to align on strategy and execution.We are hiring an Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand our reach in industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, Telco, and Consumer Electronics. We seek candidates passionate about Linux, proficient in OS internals, containerization, and debugging, with experience in low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development. This role involves engaging with customers, elaborating solutions, participating in project delivery, and conveying market requirements.Responsibilities Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology Elaborate solutions to prospective clients Participate in the delivery of select Embedded Linux projects Convey market requirements to stakeholders and participate in solution development Act as a customer advocate and trusted advisor to CanonicalQualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Extensive Linux experience, preferably with Debian or Ubuntu Experience with distribution/packaging (deb, rpm, etc.) Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot, etc.) Proficiency in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust Professional fluency in English and local language (if applicable)Excellent communication and presentation skills Result-oriented with multitasking ability Willingness to travel up to 30% Additional Skills Experience with customer engagement is a plus.
