Short Description The Director of Revenue Cycle oversees the daily operations of the hospital and physician billing offices, providing strategic direction for all revenue cycle activities. This role ensures a properly functioning revenue cycle process through a cross-departmental organizational structure.The revenue cycle encompasses all administrative and clinical functions involved in capturing, managing, and collecting patient service revenue. Key responsibilities include achieving annual and periodic performance goals for revenue cycle metrics and overall financial performance. The Director demonstrates a standard of excellence, focusing on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality service.Experience Required Minimum of 5 years management experience in healthcare receivables, with a proven record of: In-depth knowledge of hospital billing, reimbursement, financial eligibility, and customer service Leadership aligned with organizational core values Effective communication skills Problem-solving maturityLeadership of large revenue cycle teams Negotiating skills Attention to detail Experience with total quality management tools Proficiency with Epic operating system and familiarity with revenue cycle KPIs are required. The candidate should have working knowledge of billing, accounts receivable, cash management, regulatory requirements, health insurance practices, business office operations, financial reporting technology, basic accounting, and healthcare revenue management standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, financial management, leadership, and team motivation skills are essential.Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, health or public administration, management, or a related field is required.
