At this stage, we are focused on recruiting a small number of Co-workers to lead the digital implementation of our sales&customer platforms. About this work area As an IKEA Co-worker – Sales&Customer Experience , your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions. Deliver a seamless sales and customer experience at IKEA, ensuring an engaging journey across all omnichannel touchpoints. Lead from the front as the IKEA Co-worker– Sales&Customer Experience“Super User”. Oversee the sales platforms, providing on-the-ground system support, and conducting impactful training. Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contributing to business goals and growth. Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range;and actively learning about their features and benefits.Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced. Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality. Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.Handling reporting across all the different IKEA departments. Guiding teams on best practices, methodologies, and system usage. Establishing routines, workflows, and ways of working for different digital IKEA tools. Ensuring reports, systems, and methodologies are correctly implemented and maintained.Engaging in continuous improvement through testing and refinement of tools and processes. Be the driving force behind IKEA’s digital first mindset on the shop floor. Supporting, coaching and empowering Co-workers in understanding IKEA's digital tools and other essential systems. As an IKEA Sales&Customer Experience Co-worker you are or have: Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, ideally within home furnishing or high-value items retail industry. Passionate about home furnishings and appreciator of quality focusing on maintaining a high level of product knowledge and sharing the IKEA product range with customers.Strong communication skills and ability to connect with others, you can understand the customer's needs and the ability to build strong relationships. An authentic approach in generating sales, whilst maintaining a professional, self-motivated attitude towards meeting sales targets and KPIs. Experience handling Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or point-of-sale (POS) systems is highly desirable.Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills. A‘Togetherness’ mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range and tools.A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting. Ability to interpret and analyse sales, customer, and system data. Implementing and adapting to evolving processes and tools. Designing efficient workflows for various sales and operational systems.Strong understanding of digital tools and technologies. Comfortable presenting insights, training teams, and sharing knowledge. Effectively resolving system and process-related challenges. What you need to know The work location for this role is our Sylvia Park store, Auckland however as you will be starting before the store opens, you may also work from our Warehouse in Māngere.IKEA Sylvia Park is a non-smoking workplace. Car parking will not be provided and therefore IKEA encourages all Co-workers to utilise public transport wherever possible. This role is a permanent role 80 hours per fortnight. The internal title for this role is IKEA Co-worker. The expected start date for this role is 30/06/25.The first step of the recruitment process will be an application form. If you are successful to the next step, you will be notified via email. Our store will operate 7 days a week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evenings shifts including every Saturday or Sunday, or working both days and having the next weekend off. Prior to the store opening you may work Monday to Friday.Please note we will soon be seeking additional Co-workers with Sales experience; however these roles are specifically for candidates with the expertise and skills to lead on digital systems.
