About the roleDo you have a proven track record of developing and implementing robust HSE management systems and fostering a strong safety-first culture? If so, McConnell Dowell has an exceptional opportunity for you to join our team in Auckland as our HSE Manager! In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind our commitment to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our HSE programs, ensuring the well-being of our teams and the sustainable delivery of our projects.The key responsibilities of the role include: Provide strategic direction and leadership in the development and implementation of project-specific health and safety management programs, aligned with McConnell Dowell's overarching HSE strategy. Lead Group Audit Processes, ensuring effective management of findings.Proactively review project specifications and ensure that all health and safety provisions are embedded into project delivery. Oversee investigations of significant incidents and manage complex HSE-related issues. Facilitate in-project risk assessments and preparation of risk control documents, produce accurate reports and ensure record keeping / lessons learned.About You: Minimum of 5 years operational experience in the application of health and safety management principles in the construction industry. Is confident supervising and managing personnel. Communicates clearly and concisely. Competent user of software, with working knowledge of wider applications and quality systems.Experience in investigating and reporting health and safety incidents.
