Food Safety, QA Officer Needed, Auckland

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented QA/Food Safety Officer to join our client’s Penrose team permanently. The ideal candidate will possess a science degree such as Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or a similar qualification, coupled with a solid understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Food Safety and Compliance Officer, your responsibilities willinclude maintaining high standards of quality control, great attention to detail when conducting audits on products, and initiative/problem solving skills for helping to investigate manufacturing failures.You will need to be flexible as although the hours of work are relatively standard, there will be days where early starts/later finishes are required. Having experience in the NZ Food Industry is beneficial, as well as HACCP training! If this sounds like you, then APPLY NOW. You can expect: Monday to Friday.7am-3:30pm. Conducting internal/external food safety audits. Product testing to maintain QA. Ensuring compliance with Food Safety Plan and other programs.Reviewing and processing non-conforming products + corrective actions. Assisting with Health&Safety compliance and improvements. Role Requirements: Science degree or similar qualification with knowledge of the food and beverage industry. YOU MUST HAVE NO ALLERGIES. HACCP experience ideal. Fast learner.
