Our Three Waters team is looking for a Wastewater Network Technician, which is a hybrid role undertaking inspections of our trunk wastewater mains and assisting with pump station operation. It is an exciting time in our Three Waters team as we plan and develop our resilience and capability for the future, which will have far reaching and positive impacts on our community.Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities: - Undertaking reactive and scheduled checks and inspections of wastewater trunk main manholes and pipe bridges in a safe, efficient and effective manner to the required standards - Arranging maintenance and repairs to the trunk main manholes and pipe bridges- Monitoring the performance of the contractors undertaking these activities - Undertake reactive and scheduled pump checks and rotation; pump, wetwell and chamber cleaning and ground duties in a safe, efficient and effective manner to required standards - Be able to respond on-site to call outs when on duty within Council's committed timeframes- Issue Permit to Work for work on Council Wastewater pump stations - Have a good understanding of Excel. Data entry will be required for asset management Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako - Essential skills and experience The successful candidate will have one of the following: - Level 3 qualification in relevant discipline e.g. Infrastructure Works or similar or studying towards this qualification- You will also need computer literacy, Class 1 Driver's licence, Permit Receiver qualification and Permit Issuer qualification - Having Traffic Management TTM worker would be an advantage He aha ai a Taranaki? - Why Taranaki?
