You’ll be at the heart of our operations making an impact with every pay run and process you enhance. You’ll enjoy responsibility, variety, and support in a role where you’ll never be bored. There will be lots of support and a thorough handover, then the role will be in a sole charge capacity once you’re up and running.Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll for permanent staff and a large contractor base (weekly/monthly via Astute) - this will be approx 70% of the role. Calculate and report on commissions (currently via spreadsheet, so you’re an Excel superstar!) End-to-end AP and AR processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactionsLead payroll system improvement projects, including implementation and automation where suitable Support the Group Finance Lead and CEO with month-end reporting and compliance We need a confident communicator who can remain calm, and build trust with our networks as well as internally. So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile?You bring extensive experience in payroll management, ideally across high-volume or contractor-heavy environments. You’ve handled complex payroll systems and can speak to improvements you’ve made. We have Astute, Smartly, Xero, and Dext here. You’re confident, calm under pressure, and have the communication skills to push back where needed.A natural problem-solver who thrives in a process-improvement environment. Excel-lent Excel skills and commissions calculations (you love a good formula!). Experienced in AP/AR, month-end processes, and compliance tasks (or be keen and willing to add this to your skillset). A collaborative team player who takes ownership over their role with a no-dramas attitude and a good sense of humour.You’re proactive and take pride in delivering on your promises every time.
