We celebrate a‘One Team Culture’, where bringing together diversity of thought and expression is key to building the best team to deliver excellent results.It’s an exciting time for our Air Quality team in Auckland with solid project growth and delivery in 2025 across Aotearoa, we’re looking for a Senior Consultant to join the team. The New Zealand team works collaboratively with our Australian team, which is made up of 19 Air Quality consultants across the east coast of Australia. We work on a wide variety of interesting projects including impact assessments, management plans, ambient monitoring, GHG reporting amongst others which span across Australia, New Zealand, PNG and the Pacific Islands.Responsibilities Undertake air quality impact assessments for a variety of clients across New Zealand and Australia. Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to grow our offering in Air Quality. Prepare proposals, budget estimates, project management and delivery of air quality projects. Work cooperatively with SLR staff across Australia and New Zealand on a range of Air Quality and multidiscipline projects.Work within local regulations and with local regulators to deliver the above. Skills and experience University qualifications (bachelor’s degree or higher) in Environmental Science or a related field. 5+ years’ experience as an Air Quality specialist and preferably within a consulting environment.A high level of understanding of the local regulatory environment and best practice air quality assessments methods and analysis. Proficiency in air quality modelling software (e.g., TAPM, AERMOD, CALPUFF, GRAL), GIS applications, and data analysis tools (e.g. Excel). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences. Be able to work independently with support from the wider SLR Air Quality team and other SLR disciplines as required. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Relevant certifications such as CAQP are highly desirable.
