TVNZ+ Digital Video Producer, Auckland

As Digital Video Producer you will be responsible for producing news video for TVNZ+, by selecting the best NCA content for a digital audience and by producing and editing bespoke video. You will also schedule, present and drive traffic to this content in a way that attracts audiences, while maintaining high editorial standards.Your focus in this role will be on: Use editorial acumen to select or commission video news of the day to publish and promote on TVNZ+, building on 1News' reputation for insightful and fair reporting. Stay across work produced across NCA programmes and platforms and schedule the best for publication on TVNZ+.Find footage from DPL, check rights and restrictions for use and remove elements that date the content. Understand&monitor data points relating to performance of news content on TVNZ+ to determine what content works for viewers. To be successful in this role, we are looking for: Excellent editorial judgement to make content New Zealanders want to watch and you'll demonstrate strong story selection, helping make News on TVNZ+ a must visit destination.Technical skills to understand and improve processes regarding the workflow for getting content to TVNZ+. Bring curiosity and a desire to experiment in the digital first space. An excellent understanding of digital platforms and show "digital first" thinking. Understand legal and ethical requirements, and how to produce high-quality and error free NCA content.Understand data so you can easily monitor analytics tools to help inform decision making. Editorial experience in the media industry - newsroom experience would be advantageous. Digital experience or understanding of the domestic and international digital and news markets. Be able to manage time and resources effectively, able to work to deadlines, prioritise multiple demands and tasks.Ability to edit video to a broadcast standard. Basic Photoshop skills.
