We are seeking an experienced and passionate coach to help drive our age group programme forward, ensuring a seamless pathway to high-performance swimming.POSITION HOURS OF WORK Senior Development Coach (SDC) 40 hours per week PLACE OF WORK AUT Millennium&National Aquatic Centre (17 Antares Place, Albany) Takapuna Aquatic Centre (37 Killarney St, Takapuna) In consultation with you, the above hours and place of work may vary from time to time, to coincide with pool side coaching requirements. OVERVIEW As a key member of the Coaching Leadership Team (CLT), you will oversee and implement the Age Development Programme, ensuring a strong pathway into the Performance Development and Performance Programme.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Programme Leadership: Lead and refine training programmes to align with high-performance pathways. Ensure seamless swimmer progression. Coaching&Athlete Development: Plan and lead technical and conditioning sessions. Monitor swimmer performance and support goal achievement. Administrative Responsibilities&Support: Contribute to the effective operation of the programme. Support club initiatives and ensure alignment with policies and strategic objectives. Assist with general administrative and organisational tasks as required. Performance&Culture: Establish performance benchmarks and oversee goal-setting processes. Foster a positive, disciplined team culture that encourages sportsmanship and personal growth. QUALIFICATIONS&EXPERIENCE Proven experience coaching competitive age-group swimmers to regional and national levels. Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
