At Youthmix, we are building a community where every young person has the resources, opportunities, and support to achieve their career goals.ROLE OVERVIEW: As the Operations Manager of Youthmix, you will provide strategic leadership, ensuring the organisation continues to empower and support young people through its programmes and initiatives. This is a volunteer position suited to a passionate and driven individual who wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth. You will oversee operations, drive the organisation’s vision, and collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance Youthmix’s reach and effectiveness.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Providing strategic leadership to guide the organisation’s direction and growth. Overseeing and supporting Youthmix’s programmes, initiatives, and volunteer teams. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Championing Youthmix’s mission, vision, and values to inspire and engage others.Supporting and mentoring volunteers to strengthen the team and enhance impact. Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Identifying new opportunities for growth, partnerships, and community impact. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of Youthmix’s programmes and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement.Reporting to the board on organisational initiatives. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills. A passion for youth development and community engagement. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Experience in non-profit management, fundraising, or governance (preferred but not essential).The ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively with a team. TIME COMMITMENT: As the Operations Manager, your time commitment is designed to be flexible while ensuring you can effectively support the organisation’s goals.You will attend one of our team’s monthly meetings each week (up-to 60 minutes). Outside of these meetings, you will have a monthly catch-up with the Executive Director (up-to 60 minutes) to discuss progress, strategy, and key updates.
