Job Description We are excited to invite applications for the role of Senior Research Programme Coordinator at the University of Auckland. In this key position, you will provide comprehensive, end-to-end research management, supporting researchers across all stages of the research lifecycle.This role involves advising on funding opportunities, coordinating projects, and ensuring compliance with governance and funder guidelines. You will also manage high-risk and complex portfolios, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the seamless delivery of impactful research projects.This is a full-time opportunity to work at the heart of research excellence, driving innovation and enabling academic success. You are an experienced research management professional with at least five years of experience in the sector, including supporting complex projects. Your ability to work autonomously and collaboratively enables you to provide exceptional support to researchers, navigating challenges with creativity and precision.You excel in project coordination and financial management, leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver results. Your knowledge of research compliance, funder guidelines, and contractual processes positions you as a trusted advisor to researchers. The Research Operations Centre supports the University’s world-class researchers by providing expert guidance and management for research projects. Our team works collaboratively with faculties, UniServices, and other stakeholders to ensure researchers can focus on what they do best—delivering impactful and innovative research.We pride ourselves on our supportive and inclusive culture, fostering professional growth and excellence in everything we do. Qualifications Project Management : Proven experience managing complex research projects, including financial and contractual processes. Research Expertise : Comprehensive knowledge of funder guidelines and governance compliance.Communication : Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Problem Solving : Ability to analyse challenges and propose innovative solutions in a dynamic environment. Technical Skills : Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.Preferred skills : Experience in a tertiary or research-intensive environment.
