Well known for its scenery and outdoor activities, Te Anau is an excellent and very affordable place to live. The position would suit an outdoor enthusiast who will take advantage of the many recreational activities that the Fiordland National Park has on offer. Four of New Zealand’s 10 GREAT WALKS are within an hour of the lodge, and the world-famous Milford Sound and Milford Track are within close proximity of the lodge. The Fiordland National Park (directly opposite the lodge) covers 1.2 million hectares of mountain, lake, fiord, and rainforest environments and is the 4th largest world heritage site in the world.Live-in accommodation in the township of Te Anau (5 kilometres from the lodge) is provided for staff at $175 per week, which includes internet. Food&Beverage Hosts Primarily involved in keeping our guests happy, you will look after our guests when in the lodge, from preparing and serving afternoon teas to assisting in all services as required from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is a great role for starting out in hospitality; you’ll have great communication skills and be friendly, energetic, and positive. You’ll be a team player and enjoy multi-tasking. With a desire to exceed expectations, you’ll be interested in learning and delivering a high standard of personal service, assisting the restaurant or duty manager asrequired. This will involve assisting in banqueting, as the lodge caters for a number of different functions, especially private lunches and weddings.Position open from August/September 2024 onwards.
