Senior Librarian Children&Youth, Auckland

An exciting opening is now available in the Manurewa Local Board area for a Senior Librarian Children&Youth, currently based at Manurewa Library. This role is vital for connecting children, youth, and whānau with library services and programmes. You will be responsible for developing and delivering programmes and events for tamariki and rangatahi that are innovative, responsive, and engaging. This senior librarian role has additional leadership responsibilities in supporting the team.The role will form part of the leadership team in the library’s day-to-day operations and support for team members in our library site. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays and late nights. We are seeking an experienced librarian with LIANZA professional registration.You will bring a sound knowledge of library technologies and processes, enthusiasm, and an ability to collaborate in the development, implementation, and delivery of library services and programmes. As this is a role that involves working with children, youth, and their families, you will have excellent communication, the natural ability to relate well to people of all ages and backgrounds, and strong digital and readers advisory skills.
