Our Civil division specializes in Infrastructure Construction, based around Reinforced Concrete, delivering projects like bridges, wharves, water treatment plants, storage tanks, and pipelines.In addition to the above, you will: Develop advice including construction plans and documentation. Manage teams and subcontractors, coordinating with other teams for resource optimization. Plan the execution of works and develop construction methodologies. Provide monthly forecasts of costs to complete and estimates of work progress.Optimize material, plant, and labor use. Report on progress and performance. Maintain safety and tidiness at sites, develop management systems, and ensure compliance. Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards are met. What we're looking for: This role requires leadership, energy, structural construction knowledge, and hands-on capability to coach and mentor team members, ensuring work is completed on time and to high standards. Other skills include:Proven experience in major civil D&C projects, familiar with NZS3916 and the Construction Contracts Act. Strong history of managing staff and subcontractors. Experience managing budgets and schedules. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Financial acumen related to project costs. Proven subcontractor management skills.A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Structural Engineer and a BE, NZCE, or Civil Engineering diploma.
