Flexibility to work a range of shifts: days, evenings, and sleepovers.Availability for regular weekend shifts is required. About the role As a Support Worker, you will support people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy fulfilling lives at home and in the community. Responsibilities include: Helping clients attend community activities and outings. Supporting independence and daily skills like using public transport, cooking, and employment.Assisting with daily routines such as showering, dressing, medication, and meals. Encouraging pursuit of personal goals, interests, and hobbies. Promoting health and positive lifestyle choices. Fostering strong connections with whanau and community. Requirements include: Patience, non-judgemental attitude, and relationship-building skills.Calmness and confidence with challenging behaviors. Proficiency with computers and tablets. Strong communication skills. Physical fitness for providing support. Full NZ driver’s license. Benefits Hourly rate $23.84-$29.10, with potential increases upon qualification.
