Candidates must be SWRB registered with a current Annual Practicing Certificate due to the fixed term nature.Ideally, you will have solid social work experience, with key requirements including: Full registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) A recognized social worker qualification by the SWRB A strong commitment to strength-based practice A full, clean, current driver's licenseExcellent written and oral communication skills Resilience, problem-solving skills, and flexibility Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office Suite, and report writing skills Genuine commitment to working alongside whānau Soft skills such as emotional empathy, teamwork, and leadership Understanding of cross-cultural practices, including tikanga Māori and Pacific culturesOranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is dedicated to placing tamariki and rangatahi at the center of our work.
