Summary The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts responsible for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as outlined in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs. The RN manages patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating, and reports directly to a designated nurse manager or supervisor.Education: Graduate of an approved nursing school with current registration in Massachusetts. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required for newly licensed nurses. Experience: 1 year of procedural experience preferred; 5 years of ICU experience required if no procedural experience.Certifications: ACLS certification required. Other: Membership in professional organizations is recommended; certification in a specialty area is encouraged. Availability: Able to work on-call hours per the MNA contract, with specific response times: 30 minutes for Neuro IR call, 1 hour for ANGIO call. On-site call rooms and parking are provided when on call.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Demonstrates analytical thinking necessary for patient care. - Exhibits observational skills and the ability to prioritize. - Functions effectively under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills. - Applies hospital standards effectively, demonstrating teamwork, communication, respect, and time management.- Complies with on-call requirements as specified.
