A Demi Chef de Partie prepares and cooks food across all kitchen areas according to standard procedures, recipes, and instructions. This role supports the Chef de Partie in training team members, participates in product development, and ensures smooth kitchen operations.What will I be doing? As a Demi Chef de Partie, your responsibilities include: Preparing food efficiently, economically, and hygienically according to recipes and procedures. Supervising work operations. Supporting the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie to ensure smooth kitchen operation and prompt service.Planning, preparing, and setting up high-quality food and beverage offerings. Working in accordance with recipes, standards, and plating guides. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, including HACCP compliance. Using equipment and tools appropriately. Assisting with off-site events and tasks outside the kitchen as needed.Participating in inventory checks. Staying informed about hotel occupancy, events, and forecasts. Preparing menus as requested. Collaborating with Stewarding to ensure cleanliness and minimize breakages. Responding effectively to guest requests. Adapting to changes and maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude.Following hotel rules and team member policies. Monitoring ingredients for menus, ensuring quality, portion control, and cost management. Ensuring food quality and timely preparation. Promoting teamwork to meet departmental standards. Performing other duties as assigned. What are we looking for?Ideal candidates will have: Junior Middle School education or higher. At least 3 years' experience as a cook in Chinese, Banquet, Main, or Pastry kitchens within a 5-star hotel or high-standard restaurant. Minimum 1 year as a Commis I in an international hotel or restaurant. Valid health certificate.Proficiency with steaming, baking, and soup techniques (Chinese/Banquet Kitchen). Experience with seafood and meat processing techniques. Knowledge of food processing, storage, and receiving standards (Main Kitchen). Proficiency in pastry and bread baking (Pastry Kitchen). Ability to work with all ingredients and products.Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure. Ability to work in hot, humid, and noisy environments. Leadership and training skills. Up-to-date sanitation and HACCP knowledge. Hospitality or culinary education preferred. What will it be like to work for Hilton?
