The company has offices in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and North America, the NZ business has office locations in both Auckland and Wellington.About the Role This is a pivotal commercial finance role spanning New Zealand and Canada, directly supporting strategic and operational decisions through financial insight. You'll be empowered to drive performance, support innovation, and partner with senior leaders to realise commercial outcomes. This role offers flexibility, challenge, and the opportunity to contribute to impactful international projects.Key Responsibilities Drive forecasting, budgeting, and month-end reporting for both the NZ and Canadian offices. Deliver deep commercial analysis to support strategic planning and cost control. Act as a trusted advisor to project leaders and office managers across regions. Champion process improvements and financial compliance across the group.Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly P&L reporting for multiple branches. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work closely with business operations and provide a critical business-finance partnership. Regular activities including reporting and analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, will be coupled with a high degree of ad-hoc analysis, data interrogation, and work inprogress reviews at a project and office level. So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile? You’ll be a qualified finance professional (CA/CPA/ACCA) with a degree in finance, commerce, or economics, and ideally bring at least four years of experience in business partnering or management accounting within a medium to large, project-driven organisation. Ideally you will come from a consultancy type background with a preference for those coming from the Engineering and Construction sectors.Your strengths lie in financial modelling, analysis, and stakeholder engagement, supported by your expertise in Excel and ERP systems. You're known for your problem-solving mindset, resilience under pressure, and ability to turn complex data into actionable insight.
