With the introduction of up to 26 new cancer treatments, we need expertise like yours on board to support their delivery.Working in a supportive, collaborative environment, you’ll play a key role in delivering diagnostic, investigative, and treatment services, ensuring each patient receives personalised and effective care. This will include the following: Providing specialised care across inpatient, outpatient, and day stay patientsLeading patient treatment programmes and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to craft individualised care plans Using your expertise to shape the future of cancer care in New Zealand Salary, benefits and leave: Oncologists receive a base salary relative to their level of experience, agreed upon at the time of the job offer. There is a 15-step salary progression scale.Additional benefits: There are a range of allowances on top of your salary for other work like overtime, on-call, special contributions, job sizing etc. Reimbursement of registration and practicing certificate fees Professional indemnity insurance covered by Health NZ An annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance of NZ $16,000A relocation package for international candidates Leave We offer generous annual, sick, and parental leave entitlements, as well as 12 paid public holidays. If you are travelling for your CME, a bonus is that you can take annual leave directly afterwards.
