Extrastaff Recruitment | Listed yesterday Listing Description Location: Auckland City, Auckland Job type: Full time Duration: Permanent Description We are seeking experienced Welders to join our team at Extrastaff Limited. Our expanding business values organized and trustworthy individuals who take pride in quality workmanship. The role requires motivation, results-driven attitude, and flexibility to work across the country to support various projects. Responsibilities include:Proficiency with different welding techniques and equipment. Working with various metals, hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery. Igniting torches, starting power supplies, and striking arcs by touching electrodes to metals. Using safety equipment and maintaining safe work habits. Detecting faulty equipment or materials and notifying supervisors.Monitoring welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion. Operating hand and power tools, including shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment. Analyzing engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan welding operations. Welding with aluminium, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys.Selecting and installing torches, tips, filler rods, and flux based on materials. Adjusting gas flow and pressure for desired flames. Guiding flames or electrodes to shape and build up metal. Performing other duties as assigned. Pay conditions: Min $25.00/hr to max $30/hr Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours guaranteedSkills and experience: At least 1 year of welding experience or equivalent NZQA Level 4 qualification. Good time management, strong work ethic, friendly demeanor. Willingness to learn and develop skills. Knowledge of health and safety procedures. Reliable and hardworking. Work locations may include various sites across New Zealand, such as Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and others.This is a permanent, full-time position.
