Secondary (Years 7–15) / Wharekura, Certificated Teacher - Health and Physical Education Kristin School is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school located on Auckland’s North Shore. We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging teacher of outdoor and physical education for our middle and senior schools (Years 7-13). This unique role offers the opportunity to teach an established and highly regarded outdoor education program, with scope to contribute to its development. The role involves leading course camps away from school and outside Auckland, working with a dedicated team to enhance yourprofessional practice through collaborative professional development. A commitment to the school's co-curricular program and participation in Camp Week annually are required.The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and leadership skills in this area. Essential qualifications and experience include knowledge of NCEA Level 2 and 3 Physical Education Achievement Standards, and expertise in rock climbing, mountain biking, bushcraft, sea and whitewater kayaking. Knowledge of health and safety legislation and outdoor education regulations is crucial. Leadership responsibilities and allowances may be available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates.
