Te Tūranga – About The Role As a senior member of the team, you will work alongside your External Affairs team-mates and agency partners, leading proactive corporate communications initiatives that generate positive media sentiment for Foodstuffs and our brands. You will also provide media, customerissues, and crisis management responses. We are seeking a corporate communications specialist reporting to the Head of Co-operative External Affairs.The team creates and publishes stories that protect, promote, and maintain the reputation of Foodstuffs' corporate and retail brands across media, websites, and social channels. He Kōrero Mōu - About You You should be comfortable operating within a co-operative ecosystem, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including Chief Executives. You need to be a strategic thinker, excellent storyteller, and writer, with a good understanding of PR mediums and audience engagement.Experience in corporate PR within FMCG or retail is preferred.You should be an influential collaborator, familiar with NZ media landscape, skilled at pitching stories, and capable of reactive media responses to protect our reputation. Flexibility is required for weekend and holiday on-call duties, especially during crises.
