Jasmax is seeking a talented Assistant Accountant to join its Auckland studio. Jasmax is a leading, multi-award-winning architecture and design practice with studios across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. For 60 years, Jasmax has worked at the forefront of bicultural and sustainable design in the Pacific.The role: This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join an established finance team. The role is responsible for various accounting duties and will be the point of contact for accounting related enquiries. Key responsibilities include: Updating monthly cashflow forecasts, providing reporting, and preparing GST and FBT returns.Performing bank reconciliations. Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expenses. Reconciling supplier statements, maintaining supplier records, and answering supplier queries. Ensuring tax compliance relating to GST and entertainment expense rules. Supporting the Financial Accountant and Project Administrators.What you bring: The successful candidate will have 4 years+ relevant work experience as an accounts or financial assistant. The role requires Intermediate MS Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel. A relevant degree and experience with Deltek software would be beneficial. This role will suit someone with excellent communication and organisation skills, a customer-focused approach, and an excellent eye for detail. Problem-solving, critical thinking, and the ability to think beyond the task at hand, are also key attributes.Why Jasmax?
