We need people with knowledge, experience, and a deep passion for whānau wellbeing.Our Westgate site strives to do things differently within a whānau-led approach focused on awhi and supporting whānau in mana-enhancing ways. We acknowledge there is much work to do, but we are committed to it. This is a fixed-term / secondment opportunity with full-time hours through to January 2026. Candidates must be SWRB registered with a current AnnualPracticing Certificate due to the fixed-term nature of this role.Ideally, you will have sound social work experience to contribute and build upon. Key requirements include: Full registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) A recognized social worker qualification by the SWRB A strong and genuine commitment to strength-based practice A full, clean, current driver's licenceExcellent written and oral communication skills Demonstrated resilience, problem-solving skills, and flexibility Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills with excellent report writing abilities An authentic commitment to working alongside whānau Soft skills, emotional empathy, teamwork, and leadership qualitiesUnderstanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices, including knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' cultures Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is committed to putting tamariki and rangatahi at the heart of our work.
