Machine Operator, Auckland

Position: Machine Operator Job Types: Full-time. Hours of work: 30 hours per week in off-peak season, 40 hours per week in peak season. The Company Unipharm Healthy Manufacturing Co. Limited (Unipharm) is a leading manufacturer of health food and dietary supplements. We are a New Zealand business manufacturing nutraceutical products in a wide range of forms - soft capsule, hard capsule, powder sachet, tablet, liquid and honey with a major focus on exporting to Oceania and Asian markets.The role You will be responsible for operating a variety of process equipment which involves set-up, running, monitoring, trouble-shooting and general cleaning of the plant. Key Responsibilities: Follow operational requirements. Operating automatic and semi-automatic equipment and undertaking in process quality checksDo routine maintenance and changeovers on machines when required. Fault finding on machines and able to remedy faults on production equipment. Maintain housekeeping in accordance with Operational Standards set out in the Operational procedures. Complete the Daily operational paper works/checklists.Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment by eliminating hazards and taking the appropriate steps to eliminate any unsafe or poor-quality aspects. Perform all duties in compliance with safety rules, standard operating procedures, and good manufacturing practices. Key Requirements:· NZQF Level 2 or Level 3 qualification or 1 year relevant work experience.· Previous experience in pharmaceutical or nutraceutical manufacturing would be a great add-on. · Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal procedures or instructions and attention to detail. · Be physically fit. · Be trustworthy and reliable. · A team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.· Be quality-focused without compromising. · Flexible for ongoing night shift work. · Be excellent at multi-tasking and working under pressure. · Strong problem-solving skills.
