Employment OpportunityThe Board of Trustees seeks to appoint a motivated individual as a SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Inclusion Service within the Harmony Trust Development Team. The post involves working across Tameside academies, with regular travel (a casual car user allowance will be paid). The initial placement will be at Greenfield Academy.Our strategic plan focuses on developing specialist provision through the Inclusion Hub model, offering integrated support for children with special needs and greater educational choices for families. The successful candidate will work as part of the Inclusion Service team, demonstrating a strong commitment to inclusive education.The role includes coaching and mentoring staff, advising on curriculum adaptations, and supporting children to meet their outcomes. Candidate Requirements Experience working with children with diverse needs in an educational setting, in a Teaching Assistant or equivalent role.NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience. Specialist training or experience in areas such as Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, Sensory or Physical Needs. Ability to develop interventions to meet EHC outcomes or personal targets.Ability to coach and develop staff. Good understanding of safeguarding issues. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, professionals, agencies, and voluntary groups. Support for outreach provision.
