About the roles: The Payments Platform provides a secure environment for superior payment experiences, empowering our customers with trusted payment solutions.Within Payments Platform, we focus on: Cross border - Supporting and modernizing international payment systems/services to meet best practices and customer demand. Cards - Delivering resilient, future-proof card payment capabilities for all customers, including business and corporate clients. Domestic - Supporting resilient bulk payments capabilities for business and corporate clients, including building and supporting the Core Payment engine and Real Time Payment Instruction within Azure. The domain comprises micro-services running as Azure Functions.As a Senior Software Engineer, you will leverage your payment expertise to build, support, and maintain applications, and contribute to testing processes within the squad. You will be part of a team delivering a secure, functional, and high-performance ecosystem for our customers. We seek a mix of technical and non-technical skills to support activities such as: Reviewing requirements and specifications. Creating agile testing strategies and plans. Developing and maintaining test automation.Verifying and validating functionality. Analyzing and reporting test results. Collaborating with stakeholders for end-to-end testing and sign-off. Paying attention to detail to identify issues, such as causality in payment transactions. Meeting regulatory requirements from RBNZ and international organizations like SWIFT.Redesigning internal solutions to utilize modern cloud technology and align with ISO20022 standards. About you: We seek a candidate who champions quality goals, with a keen eye for detail and curiosity about system workings. You will collaborate with squads and stakeholders to advocate for test engineering and enhance customer payment experiences. The ideal candidate will have:5+ years of test engineering experience. 3+ years of testing experience in the payments industry. Proven expertise in functional, system, integration, API, and end-to-end testing. Experience in developing, maintaining, and executing test automation. Experience with performance testing tools like Load Runner, JMeter, or K6.Strong understanding of Agile principles. Working knowledge of Azure DevOps. Proficiency in SQL and CosmosDB. Additional advantageous skills include: Financial or banking domain experience. Experience with test simulators (e.g., FINSIM). ISTQB Fundamentals certification.
