Primary and Intermediate (Years 1–8) / Kura Tuatahi, Certificated Teacher We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our inclusive school, specialising in supporting students with Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and speech delay. Responsibilities include:Create and implement individualised learning plans tailored to students’ unique needs. Use evidence-based strategies to support communication, social skills, and emotional regulation. Work closely with support staff, specialists, and families to ensure holistic student development. Foster a nurturing and structured learning environment where every child can thrive.We are looking for someone who: Has experience or empathy for teaching children with additional learning needs, particularly GDD, ASD, and speech delay. Demonstrates patience, adaptability, and a student-centred approach to learning. Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and values strong relationships with whānau.Additional training in ASD, speech and language development, or behavioral support is an advantage. This role will initially start with new entrants, and as children progress through the school, the teacher will move alongside them. There may be times when you are requested to cover classroom teacher release in the junior school, working alongside the other two teachers daily.This position starts ASAP.
