Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the Role: The Interpreting Service is based at Manukau Health Park and services the requests of all Counties Manukau District inpatients, outpatients, and community interpreting requirements, as well as external client requests from agencies such as the Police and Ministry of Justice, mainly in the South Auckland region.As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective communication between healthcare professionals and patients. We currently have a casual position available for a Croatian Interpreter to join our dynamic team. We are a 24/7 service provider, and as a casual Interpreter, you should be available at short notice and able to complete pre-booked appointments. Ideally, you will be available for work on an on-call basis Monday–Sunday.About You The ideal candidates will need to have: AUT Certificate in Liaison Interpreting (Health and/or Legal) or NAATI accreditation at Level 2 or 3 Fluent in English and Croatian Knowledge of the NZ healthcare system and/or medical terminology Ability to provide consecutive interpreting services via face-to-face, telephone, and virtual remote interpretingWorking at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
