Based at our Waltham depot in Christchurch, you’ll work hands-on with our Locomotives, ensuring they’re safe, reliable, and ready for action. Whether it's routine maintenance or responding to the unexpected, you’ll be a key part of keeping our network on track.In this role, you will: Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs on rolling stock Diagnose faults and work collaboratively to resolve issues Conduct safety checks and support operators in equipment use Keep accurate records and follow safety procedures Support yard operations including shunting and piloting when requiredPlease note that this is a full-time, permanent position with a starting hourly rate between $33.05 and $42.20, based on your qualifications and experience.
