Join EP as our next Head of Engineering, where you'll lead high-performing product development teams focused on delivering impactful features that help every student reach their full potential. In this pivotal role, you'll drive technical strategy in alignment with EP's broader goals, while providing cross-functional leadership across people, culture, technology, and engineering operations.What you will do Lead and develop our team of high-performing engineers through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and career development. Own recruitment, onboarding, learning&development, and performance assessment for engineering team members. Empower teams by sharing context, setting objectives, and providing autonomy. Create a strong delivery culture in collaboration with the Head of Delivery, and continuously evolve our delivery practices. Ensure platform compliance in line with ISO, security, and privacy requirements, in collaboration with the Head of Security.Work with principal engineers and enablement teams to evolve the platform architecture towards a modern, flexible stack with reusable patterns and components. Introduce meaningful metrics and measure team and individual performance. Support horizontal team structures (chapters), and facilitate healthy discussions and decision-making aligned with company goals.Contribute to the evolution of our technology stack, tooling, and standards, and lead documentation initiatives. Represent engineering in product discovery and roadmap development, communicating technical constraints and considerations. Coordinate and align teams across domains, managing dependencies, enablers, and blockers.About you Broad experience building and operating cloud software at scale, in both hands-on and leadership roles. Experience fostering diverse team environments with trust, ownership, and accountability. Strong customer focus and ability to align engineering work with organizational goals. Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Deep technical and architectural expertise, with the ability to drive technical strategy. Skilled in managing risk, ambiguity, dependencies, and stakeholders. Curious, flexible, and resilient to operate in a fast-moving organization.
