Resource Developer - Kaiako (Legal Studies) Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 14/07/2025, End Date: 09/12/2025 (Provide support for roll growth and project work) Area / composite (Years 1–15), Resource teacher Social sciences We're looking for a passionate and innovative Kaiako with expertise in Legal Studies to both teach and develop NCEA Level 1, 2, and 3 modules delivering the Legal Studies curriculum. You’ll join our team based in one of our regional offices.Dedicated support will be provided from within the Curriculum Wāhanga for curriculum development. We aim for this position to be in place for Term 3 and 4, 2025. As a Kaiako, you'll: Design and deliver personalised, authentic learning programmes tailored to the strengths and needs of ākongaFacilitate weekly Huinga Ako, guiding and supporting students through their educational journeys Collaborate with colleagues and interact with students online and in person to foster meaningful learning experiences The position of contract legal studies NCEA online curriculum writer includes:Developing content to deliver teaching and learning for legal studies across NCEA Levels 1-3 Connecting and collaborating with the rōpu and Kaiako Matua throughout the development process Developing activities that promote learner agency and confidence in applying existing and new learningAdhering to the Te Kura curriculum development process Liaising with the project team through all stages of development You are a creative and forward-thinking educator who thrives on providing authentic learning experiences forākonga. You will: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and current assessment practicesModel innovative, future-focused pedagogies that engage and inspireākonga Build strong, collaborative relationships with ākonga, whānau, and colleagues Understand legal studies, have recent experience teaching legal studies in New Zealand schools, and be familiar with NZCR expectations, including interweaving mātauranga Māori, literacy, numeracy, and keycompetenciesHow to apply Please apply through the vacancy link.
